Hiatus

    Then maybe you should for a time simply address it as "O Typewriter" and offer it "some little token of esteem" like a fresh ribbon, or oil, or something.

  2. I have a few keepers that won't divulge their names either. (I even tried various schemes for turning their serial numbers into letters.)

    They have enough character to *have* names. (They are like cats that way.)
