Nice! One thing I can't stand is the silence of the house at night. I have a Big Ben Westclox wind up clock that is perfect for just the occasion. (I think they sell them at Walmart still, I have had mine for a while) Mostly it is the hum of the box fan that I fall asleep to though. There is something empowering I have found when using a typewriter while the power is out.
In a home with three very active children and a mostly-inactive dog, being plunged into a sudden mid-day silence was unnerving. But I think the typewriter dispelled any demons that might have been lurking in the corners.
