If it's any consolation, at least you are writing. I tend to find far too many excuses not to write and trying to set aside the time seems impossible most days. You had a stab at it and that's gotta count for ssomething and you will surely have written some useful stuff that can be recycled or added to later. Well done!

Duffy's got my number, though -- this is the first time since I started NaNoing that I've just flat out surrendered. I've at least made the word count all other times, if not had a completed story. But this one threatened to consume all, and had to be stopped.

It's raw material for another time, I'm not worried. And it clears out space in my 3x5 card box for other plot developing. But still: damn.
