You're not allowed to wimp out. You don't want to tick off your muse, for one thing. You wouldn't believe the mental torment a scorned muse can inflict. It's baaad.
I've also heard rumors that the Typewriter Brigade has hired crazed mutant nanodwarves that will (with the help of the scorned muse) forcibly chain you to your typewriter should you try to escape participating this year.
Besides, what else am I going to do with all these damnable typewriters? They're everywhere.
My sentiments exactly. The thing will be to decide which typewriter to use... though finding a plot first might be a good plan.
Anyway, scorned muses are scary, especially with November coming up. I'd recommend not pushing your luck with yours. (Sounds like you're in no real danger, though.)

O Muse, I will offer my sleep-deprived self to thy service this November.
I freaked out for a moment, thinking from the title of your essay that you were bugging out. Glad to see that I was wrong.
Six weeks until go-time.
(Imaging that sentiment, only sounding cooler and less silly. Thanks.)
Oh no, there's no dropping out for me. I figure the more people I tell, the less likely I am to chicken out.

Do not provoke the crazed mutant nanodwarves.
nanodwarves == really tiny, tiny people?
My mind has been officially blown.

Perzactly. So tiny you won't even know they're there until it's Too Late.
You have been warned.

Plot shmot: it's the toys that matter.
The real question is how many different machines I can rotate through at home before my lovely bride becomes suspicious.
Liking the Muse's type font!
Me too— is that your Studio 44? It looks very, very familiar...
This was done on Alice, a script Olympia SF. The face is pretty, but also a bit girly for my tastes.
My Studio 44 (Zsa Zsa) types in a larger Roman face.
