Nice!!! Despite having conquered the almighty fraktur hurdle, this is one I'm still lusting after... I love italic and I can't wait to find one. Even when I have no paper/ index cards with me, the first thing I do when I see a new typewriter is to lean in and peek at the type slugs... that's how I found the only script I've discovered in the wild so far. Italic will be more of a challenge, especially since Hermes never made them, but I'll keep looking.
Such a pretty type face! And I am so jealous. I realized recently that an Olympia I'd skimmed on ebay a month ago had italic type. At the moment, I was fixated on cursive and figured I could find italic later.

That's really great! I have yet to find an italic. I keep a piece of paper for the purpose of checking typefaces.
Haven't seen a typewriter in any of my local thrift haunts for MONTHS. But that's good advice right there.
And I wasn't sufficiently dissuaded from reading your post, despite its exclusionary title. Nice try, though.

Is it later, yet?
