I don't know if I ever mentioned it, but Clickthing was the very first anablog that I ever visited. In fact, it was this post that first informed me that there was even such a thing as NaNo!

Very motivating, it was.

In other news, yeah, there have been mutterings about some typospherians wanting to wimp out. Hopefully it's just Fall jitters. Otherwise, you know, compulsory expulsion from the ranks, public floggings, etc.

Also: Norma Jean is sexy. That is all.

+1 for Norma Jean

I laughed at the thought of taking down the Alphasmarties. It is true though, we need to rise up in honor of all the typewriters still producing word count. The typewriter brigade is going to flourish this year I just feel it!

I think I may definitely qualify as one of the wimp outers. I start graduate school in Oct, on top of a full time job. I'll just be happy if I can get Silent Type out the door on-timeish.

Oh, *there*'s my muse! Way down at the bottom of this bottle. Here, musie, musie, musie...

@Strikethru: grad school? I think your priorities are out of whack.

@Olivander: whatever it takes...

I've decided the only way to Nano is to corner myself. So I'll be an ML. That way there's no backing out.

Done and done.

Monda, I'm awed.

Strikethru, take note!

I have a plot (albeit a gauzy, unsettled one), a whole month early. This makes me nervous.

@LFP: Woo! Good for you. Time to celebrate by having a month of self-doubt and angst.

Will Bernard be noveling this year?

The plan this year is to use various and sundry typewriters when I'm at home and the Neo when I'm out and about...but then, that was the plan last year until the evil fountain pens seduced me and forced me to write over 50,000 words by hand. Fun though that was, I think I'll be more steadfastly in the typewriter/Alphasmart camp this year. Especially if I can get over the fear of Neoing in public.
